I think that being a good musician is something that’s gotten lost nowadays because you had the punk rock aesthetic and people thought it wasn’t cool to practice their instruments and be a good musician. And that’s just bullshit. The instrument is a thing to make colorful sounds on, and you can work on it to get better and better. Practice doesn’t mean you play faster; it just learning how play better with people.
